Your photos are great as always. I've also spent the day in an armchair, with a cold, reading Fannie Flagg's A Redbird Christmas.

I absolutely adore the way you illustrate your life. I hope the knee is feeling better...looks as though you have yourself set up in a very cozy way.

I'd love to hear when you do these wonderful sketches. Do you sit down to actually do them? Do you doodle them out when you're doing something else? Do the ideas just come to you? (Like whether to put yourself in the chair or cooking in the kitchen?) What are you using to draw? I'd enjoy a post that tells us a bit about this.

PS: I worked in museum ed for several years too...and went to museum grad school at one point along the way.

Oh Caroline, I hope your knee is feeling better sometime soon. There must be something going on astrologically to cause so chaos in our lives! My finger is finally healing, thankfully very quickly. Must be all the positive thoughts coming my way. Now I'll send them to you!

As always, I like your picture. I also appreciated your comments on Lucia's site. I spent all day yesterday curled up in bed, under a comforter, reading a wonderful book called "The Night Listener" by Armistead Maupin. I recommend it. All of his books are great! :) There is great value in enjoying our time instead of feeling compelled to do something else. Sometimes our bodies have a way of forcing us to stop that way of life if we don't do it voluntarily.

Peace,

~Chani

I hope your knee is improving! Looks like you did exactly what you needed to take care of yourself! It looks remarkably comfy - sorry it had to be because you were injured!

I was so excited to see your new post, though sad to read that you had tweaked your knee. I can't believe how many people who are, as my mother would say, "under the weather" for one reason or another right now. I've been feeling off myself, so I spent the weekend printing off pictures for the photo albums I'm giving out as Christmas presents this coming weekend.

Wonderful art, as always. Take care, I hope the burrito treatment worked.

Sorry to hear about your knee pain. I hope your home remedy makes it all better real soon. And you're liking the McCullough book? I've been wanting to read some of his work ever since I heard him interviewed on one of the PBS radio shows. Great to hear such a huge endorsement. I may search that one out at the library this week or next.

Are you sure you twisted your knee ...or is that an excuse to cuddle up?? You look very happy and contented. Hope you're up and around soon...or when you want to be! (Love the pictures!!)
